Amy Clark
Senior Director of Dementia Programming
Amy Clark is a seasoned healthcare executive with a career spanning over two decades in geriatrics and social work. She holds a Masters of Science in Social Work and is a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and brings a comprehensive understanding of the complex needs of older adults.
Her career includes pivotal roles in both clinical and administrative settings. As an Inpatient Social Worker/Psychotherapist at Our Lady of Peace, she honed her skills in providing individual, group, and family therapy, as well as expert case management and discharge planning. Her subsequent tenure at Amedisys, Inc./Home Health Services deepened her expertise in chronic care management and patient advocacy.
Amy shared her passion and knowledge in her role as a 4 year adjunct professor at the University of Louisville. She imparted her wisdom to future social workers through her course on “Social Work Practice with Older Adults”, emphasizing evidence-based practices and innovative care approaches.
Her exceptional leadership abilities were showcased during her nine-year tenure as Executive Director at Barton House of Louisville. Under her guidance, the facility achieved unparalleled success, garnering multiple awards and recognition for its innovative dementia care programs.
Amy’s commitment to advocacy is exemplified by her role as a District 2 and 3 Advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association, where she tirelessly champions increased research and support for individuals living with dementia.
Currently, Amy serves as the Senior Director of Dementia Programming at GoodWorks Unlimited, LLC. She is the visionary behind the “Through Their Eyes” program, “Seeing life from our residents’ point of view” while using a “Compassionate Communication”.
Amy’s rich experience, coupled with her unwavering dedication to improving the lives of seniors, positions her as a leading expert in the field of dementia care.
